Thinking of starting a campaign that does have a bit of a bait-and-switch in it. It starts as espionage campaign set in 1982. The PCs are spies for a freelance spy team. They are hired on typical Cold War espionage missions. Leaning towards a sort of Bourne movie feel to the whole thing.
it is going to wrap up based on Able Archer, except it goes nuclear. They are pulled out at the last minute by the billionaire tycoon paying for their ops. He is basically Morrow (from the Morrow Project) and he puts them in suspended animation
they wake up 300 years later in the post apocalyptic ruins of a USA -- I am going to use Year of the Pheonix for background on the future.
How does it sound. I will probably be using 5th revised.

I'm 8 years late but I love the idea of this. It sounds really fun and, unlike most things, it hasn't been done to death. Did you ever do this? If so, how did it go?
