There was a time after I retired out of the Navy that I was gaming once a week, sometimes twice. I have never enjoyed murder-hobo or munchkin games or the super rules lite games that consist of people trying to RP a Harlequin Romance. I mean they are fine for those that just have too, but I like to game adventure. Anyway, I wound up GM'ing almost exclusively, but have lost the motivation over the last couple of years. The occasional CoC/DDT/FoDG one-shot, but no on going games. Just got tired of building campaigns and then having them hobo'd. I'd love to run a supers game again if there was a good system that FLGS could actually put on the shelf. None of the games currently available really do superhero for me.
The long and short of it. I'm done to running one shots, mostly horror games with a dash of D&D and STA.

Covid and medical issues ( not mine, I'm good) killed my big group but my smaller group has recouped and we meet wednesdays. We start around noon to one and I still cook lunch for them. We break around six or seven and my son fixes dinner for whomever sticks around.

It's been years since I had a group. In recent years I played with my son (most recently Fantasy Hero) but now the nest is empty. I had planned to start something last year but covid delayed that. Currently playing a little D&D on vtt but no Hero yet. I do have to say that Western Hero got me eyeing the system again lately.

There have been scheduling issues but still once a week most weeks. My adult son plays in my group and also runs a separate group on most Saturdays. Both use HERO. I've stuck with the same universe for decades while my son starts a new campaign every year or so every year or so. He's on fantasy now.We now play evenings and my son cooks the dinner for my group. Damn, that young man is a good cook!
