So I am looking to build this "Disadvantage". I'm thinking a cumulative Transform. Thoughts?
MECHANICAL DISCORDIA
Paragons are the exemplars of an element or ideal. They are, at their core, infused with the energy of that very same element or ideal. This essence emanates from the Paragon at nearly imperceptible levels; however, this essence plays havoc with material goods that contain movable parts, anything from a bow to a clock and everything in between. This is seen by the item completely seizing into a solid, non-movable object.
This process does not affect living materials, such as plants, animals, etc. that are alive. However, it does affect organic and inorganic matter that is no longer living, such as a golem, the undead or a bow, or a wooden wagon. This has necessitated certain precautions that have become standard over the centuries, such as a Paragons home will not contain windows or doors that are able to open and close. They are transported by living creatures, exclusively, or by their own feet.
The process is relatively rapid, taking minutes to seize up a crossbow. The process is accelerated when the paragon is experiencing stress or strong emotions, such as combat. When stressed, that same crossbow could seize in seconds.
Mechanical Discordia is a pervasive force that accumulates rapidly but dissipates very slowly, taking decades to remove all trace of it in a device.
Paragons utilize melee weapons exclusively with exceptions to throwing weapons. Chain weapons and even ball and chain weapons are never used by Paragons. This actually showcases one of the Paragon's weaknesses: Archers and Gunfighters.
