I stumbled upon this by accident. Is there any reason for an Unofficial board other than the fact that some people who were 'banned' on the official board can post things here ?

Not per se... it's more so that people who don't feel safe posting there or who have otherwise left the official board due to conflicts with the administrator can have a place to post.

Not sure whether I'm temporarily here or sticking around. The main bothersome thing about the official board's current outage is that i really don't want ten years of my certain wit and dubious wisdom to be lost to the ether. I still get much to big a narcissistic kick out of reading my own old posts.
It's pathetic, actually.
